Open your home (temporarily) to a Senior Citizen's beloved Pet(s)
For The Love Of Paws provides peace of mind to Senior Citizens who can no longer care for their Pet(s) due to being placed into Hospice, Memory Care, Assisted Living, Nursing Home, or undergoing a medical issue and temporarily cannot care for their Pet(s) due to extended rehabilitation.
Our Foster Program provides temporary care for Senior Citizen's Pet(s) due to owner's temporary medical issue &/or rehabilitation.
Fostering allows you to enjoy a companion pet without having a long- term commitment.
-
Foster parenting is volunteer based.
-
You will provide daily care, and affection to Foster Pet(s).
-
Pet food and Vet bills for Foster Pet(s) will be covered.
-
Fostering can range from 3 days to 6 months.
-
If a Pet is in your care longer than 6 months it is automatically surrendered to For The Love Of Paws Senior Pet Sanctuary, Inc. In this case you (as the Foster Parent) would have the option to adopt the Pet.
Foster Parent Contract/Agreement must be renewed every six months.
We are NOT a shelter. We specifically deal with senior citizens who have found themselves in a situation where they can no longer care for their pet, or have passed away, and had made plans for their pet prior, by signing up for our Legacy Program.
